Split Squat Positioning

Changing the position of your torso during split squats can change which muscles you are focusing on.

Remaining upright makes the movement more knee dominant requiring a higher demand from the quad muscles.

Leaning slightly forwards makes the movement more hip dominant and requiring a higher demand from the hamstrings and gluteal muscles.

Forward leaning split squats are my go to variation of split squats.
